You will learn:

Shooting in manual mode
Choosing the right aperture for the scene
Finding the best composition
Long Exposure Techniques on waterfalls
Focus Stacking
HDR Bracketing

You will also gain access to my private Workshops Facebook group and I will supply you with instructions on how to do basic edits as well as merge HDR and process focus stacking on your captures in both Lightroom and Photoshop. A print voucher to Steam Art & Graphics will also be given to you, good for a 12×18 print of your favorite capture at the workshop!

Some hiking will be required.

Lodging and all meals are included.

Transportation is not included. We will be exploring the Richland Wilderness Area and the Buffalo National River Area.

Friday:

3 PM Check In at Lodge and unpack
4 PM Waterfall Hike – 2 miles round trip
7 PM Dinner (provided- please let me know of any dietary restrictions or needs)

Saturday:

5:30 AM Sunrise over a waterfall with Continental Breakfast (provided on site)
7 AM Hike to 2 waterfalls – 2 miles round trip
Lunch Break (picnic provided on site)
12 PM Hike to 2 waterfalls – 2 miles round trip
4 PM Editing Course at Lodge
8 PM Dinner (provided) Jasper Pizza Company

Sunday:

5:30 AM Sunrise at Overlook
7 AM Breakfast at Ozark Cafe (provided)
9 AM Hike to waterfall – 0.2 miles round trip
11 AM Lunch at BOC (provided)

She took us to the perfect locations that she had scouted ahead of the workshop, and provided each participant personal attention to ensure everyone came home with an incredible image. The editing portion of the workshop was just as incredible as the photography. She is a very knowledgeable and patient instructor and helped each one of us at our own level to edit the images we captured in the field. Highly recommend!

I learned a lot in the field on composition and in the editing class. Brennen is a great teacher with patience and is very knowledgeable with a great personality. You can tell she loves teaching and helping people learn milky way photography. I 'm looking forward to another workshop in Oct and highly recommend Brennen to anyone interested in learning landscape or milky way photography. Her timing and instructions (verbal, written, and in person) make it easy to follow along and she leaves plenty of time for questions and problems with equipment.  I had a such a relaxing but exhaustive 3 day weekend! Up at 3:30am to catch the first rising of the Milky Way... Homemade breakfast with more food than we could eat! I learned so much from Brennen and she brought us to the most beautiful places. I can’t believe that I took some of the photos I’ve collected from this trip.
