I’ll share my expertise, providing personalized tips and techniques to help you create stunning images of these natural wonders.  My tour is thoughtfully curated to take you off the beaten path, uncovering spots where wildflowers flourish in abundance.

To ensure an intimate and immersive journey, I keep the tour groups small. This allows you to receive personalized attention from me, fostering a friendly and supportive environment.

While the wildflowers steal the show, the San Juans are also home to a variety of wildlife. A fun adventure is guaranteed!

This workshop does require light hiking or walking at some locations of less than 2 miles round trip with very little elevation gain but will push you to your limits when it comes to comfort, sleep, and creativity.  We will also be driving 1-2 hours daily to each new location.

• All permits and lodging accommodations are included to help take the travel stress out of your adventure!  We will be staying at the lovely Twin Peaks Lodge and Hot Springs in Ouray.
• A print voucher to Steam Art & Graphics will also be given to you, good for a 12×18 print of your favorite capture at the workshop!
• My free Intro To Astro Guide can be downloaded from my Shop to help you brush up on your star knowledge before the workshop.

Transportation and meals are not included.  High Clearance 4WD is necessary to access a couple of places for the mid-day scenic drives.  You can choose to not take the scenic drives, or rent a 4WD vehicle at DriveDiff.com, Jeep Ouray or Ouray Moutain Adventures; these are just some of the many places that offer 4WD rentals.  The price of the rental is not included in the tuition.

ADD ON:  Wednesday July 10th-11th, 2024 – a hiking and camping excursion to Lower Blue Lake to learn blue hour blending (see sample image below) – WEATHER DEPENDENT

**All camping and gear for the ADD ON must be provided by participant.  This excursion does require a steep 3 mile hiking ascent to an elevation of 11000 ft (6 miles round trip).  This will be an overnight camping trip, so please bring all food and camping gear necessary to complete the journey.  This can be added on to your adventure for only +$249.00!
