A Night at the Refuge: Full Moon Edition

November 24, 2026

Experience Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge like you’ve never seen it before.

Join me for a special after-hours photography experience as we watch the November Full Moon rise over Freedom Field, illuminating the refuge and its residents in soft, dramatic moonlight. With the animals moving through the landscape beneath the full moon, the scene takes on an almost Frederic Remington-inspired quality.

This exclusive experience gives you the opportunity to access the refuge after regular visiting hours, offering a completely different perspective on the animals and their environment. We’ll photograph the moonrise and watch the animals as they settle into their evening routines.

And unlike some of our late-night adventures, this one is designed to fit easily into your week. We’ll be finished by 8 PM, making it the perfect weeknight escape for anyone who wants to do something memorable without committing an entire weekend.

Most importantly, your participation directly supports Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge and the animals in their care. Come spend an evening experiencing the refuge under the November Full Moon while giving back to an organization dedicated to providing rescued big cats with a safe and permanent home.

A few hours. A full moon. Rescued wildlife. And a night you’ll remember.

Come experience Moonlight at the Refuge and see Freedom Field in an entirely new light.

Why This Event Is Special:

This workshop is exclusive, with extremely limited participation to ensure a safe, intimate, and immersive experience.

And best of all — 100% of the proceeds are donated directly to Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge, supporting their mission of rescuing and caring for abused, abandoned, and neglected big cats and other animals.  Be sure to also check out their Digital Download Video, “Uncharted” to learn more about a few of the residents.

To maximize your experience, you can also stay the night with the wild cats on the Turpentine property in Safari Suites, a Tree House, Glamping Tents, and even RV spaces!

SPACE IS LIMITED FOR TEACHING PURPOSES AND TO KEEP COMPOSITIONS UNCLUTTERED.
