Experience the magic of autumn at Mowdy Mustang Ranch during one of the most beautiful full moons of the year. The Harvest Moon transforms the Oklahoma prairie into a glowing landscape, creating incredible opportunities to photograph wild mustangs beneath moonlit skies.

Throughout the weekend, we’ll chase the moon from rise to set, capturing golden light as it illuminates the rolling hills, historic ranch, and free-roaming horses. While the full moon may outshine the Milky Way, it opens the door to another exciting night photography technique—star trails. You’ll learn how to create mesmerizing circular star trail images as the moon softly lights the landscape, producing dramatic nighttime scenes without complete darkness.

We’ll climb aboard ATVs and venture into the mustang fields for unforgettable sunrises and sunsets. You’ll have countless opportunities to photograph these incredible animals in their natural environment while learning techniques for composition, light, and storytelling.

This retreat is designed for photographers who want to experience a different side of night photography while enjoying the peaceful beauty of ranch life.
